Costume and Make-up

I have left my actress Zeina dressed in a bathing suit that is not visible in the scene due to her age and allowing nudity in the scene. It makes it more and on the face value is completely natural as she lays in the bath yet the stillness and gaze directly to the camera would suggest that there is more to her. In the scene where she will be shot looking outwards to a lake in a forest - she is dressed in dark jeans and a white loose jumper. The dark jeans give the idea that she is just a regular student - yet the white jumper would metaphorically represent the mental illness. White is a clinical colour as shown in mental hospital and places as such - she reflects that in both mise-en-scene suggesting the need for psychoanalysis and therapy. This is why it therefore effective as she again stands there still, gazing out to the lake in the flashback - showing as she remembers how she found her family in the deserted forest.

Haunting!
For effective make-up to emphasise the thriller genre; dark eyes need to be strong and bold with a pale complexion (and pale lips). These add a haunting effect and make her look intense and scary. Eye liner and a dark shadow will be used for this effect, adding darker eye shadow beneath the eyes to make her look tired adding 'bags'. This is useful to the mise-en-scene to emphasise the idea that she doesn't sleep and to suggest to the audience that she is worn out.
