The Coen Brothers' Filmography

Joel and Ethan Coen are American Film makers professionally known as 'The Coen Brothers' together;  writing, directing and producing their films jointly.  Joel Coen now receives sole credit for directing whilst his brother for producing and often alternate top billing for their screenplays.  Joel spent 4 years in the undergraduate film programme in the New York University and after graduating; he worked as a production assistant in a variety of films and music videos.  The brothers wrote their first film together (and directed); Blood Simple in 1984.  As the release of the film received so much praise, they began to write more films and grew to fame as their quirky films are still being made and watched till today.
